"Thanks for Lunch"

Hi Danny
I wanted to thank you and the team for looking after us so well on Friday. We arrived without a prio booking and were made to feel very welcome.
Kevin in the Restaurant wasn't thrown by the request for a Coeliac diet option, he quickly informed me all the dishes that would be available to me, at every stage through the meal he made it clear which dishes contained flour and guided me through a number of very good dishes. The food itself was well cooked and presented to high standard. It was good to see the passion from the service team that made our lunch date feel very special, you are all credit to the Hospitality industry and your profession.

"This restaurant can't be beaten!"
Beautiful decor, lovely views, attentive staff and mouth watering, freshly produced food made this an eating experience we want to have again.
The theme of Charter 1227 must be 'taste' - tasteful decor and the most tasteful food you could wish for. The staff all appear to be trained to the highest standard and nothing is too much trouble. I think you will be pushed to find a better Sunday Roast.

"Beautiful restaurant and amazing food"
Me and my boyfriend came here for a nice romantic meal, the restaurant is beautiful. Every little detail has been taken in to consideration and the decor is lovely.
There is a wide choice of food to choose from and when it is presented it looks lovely, almost too good to eat! The meat is so tender and everything melts in your mouth with so much flavour. The staff are very friendly and it was nice to hear that all the food is home made and how this is prepared.
This is a must visit restaurant and I cannot wait until I go back again.

"An amazing experience"
Charter 1227 was sadly badly burnt in a serious fire but well over a year later it has reopened.
Thank god for that, the restaurant is beautifully redecorated with comfortable seating and lovely surroundings. The atmosphere is good, the staff are attentive and very friendly but the food well thats another matter. Each course is home made, cooked fresh, beautifully presented and tastes wonderful. There is a bar and lovely fresh coffee so i have to linger sometimes looking out over the market place and watching the world go by.

“The BEST restaurant is back In Salisbury from 1 year away after fire!”
This restaurant was burned down in a fire last year and it's been open again for about 4 weeks. I'm so glad it's re opened, the atmosphere and decor is amazing, the staff are lovely and the food...Well the food is just unbelieveable. The way it's presented is first class, and makes you feel like royalty, and the tase is extraordinary. Tonight I had lamb and the croquette potato was stuffed with mint flavoured mash. Everything the chef does is amazing and well thought out! The desserts are fantastic... You MUST try the Danny's selection of desserts. You get four of his desserts on one plate, so a selection of everything if you can't decide!

Please please try this out for yourself...it's truely brilliant food!

"A Michelin Star experience"
My wife and I were so pleased to see the superb Charter 1227 restaurant back open again, Salisbury really struggles for good quality cuisine at affordable prices and this restaurant ticks all the boxes. In the heart of Salisbury's market square Charter 1227 mixes a genuinly good ambience with exceptional home made food and high quality service.

For a starter my wife had a crab ravioli and I had a chicken terrine, both dishes so enjoyable we could have licked the plate! This was served with moist homemade bread. My wife had a beautiful fish dish and I had a fillet steak with a variety of different vegetables and potatoes. The icing on the cake came with the desserts, I had the chefs selection of three desserts which was brilliant, my wife had a cheesecake also homemade and equally delightful.

After coffee the chef and owner Danny came over to our table and asked us what we thought of our dining experience, we told him how impressed we were and that we would be coming back again soon. Our total bill for the two of us, both with starters, main and desserts and a bottle of wine was roughly £70. Good quality and good value.

"Perfection"
Since moving house 18 months ago, I was looking for a really special place - and I found it at Charter 1227. Danny is a master chef and a generous human being who finds joy in preparing the most exquisite food and in the pleasure it gives to those who eat it. I've been waiting impatiently for this restaurant to re-open and it surpassed my expectations. The crab ravioli is simply divine and Danny's signature dish. We shared the fillet of beef and breast of duck entrees as we couldn't decide between the two only to find they were equally beyond compare. We shared a dessert so sublime that we can't actually remember it's name (a coffee torte with amaretto ice-cream) and a bottle of Chianti. The only detractor was that the food was so delicious that you wanted to savour every mouthful and so delicious you just wanted to stuff your face! 3 courses and wine for 2 (with complimentary Remys and the best view of the market square in Salisbury) came to a snitch over £80. The best meal in Salisbury and the best value for money!

"Outstanding food"
Restaurant has now reopened after fire in place next door forced closure I've eaten in quite a few places since moving here 18 months ago and this is, without doubt. the best food in the city: freshly made ravioli, delicately flavoured and the best I've ever tasted; fillet steak soft, full of flavour and melting on the tongue; coffee forte and amaretto ice cream a lovely, decadent combo. Beautiful presentation, friendly efficient service and excellent, locally sourced food. If you've not tried it, what's your excuse?

"NOW RE-OPEN and by far the best food in Salisbury"
Restaurant has now reopened and is by far the best in town. Great new look, fantastic service and food is incredible! Beautiful presentation with the food and everything just melts in your mouth, to die for! Must go to try it out, in the market square, Salisbury.
